About the Mayflower National Guard

The Mayflower National Guard is the state-level military force of the State of Mayflower. It serves as a ready and organized military body capable of supporting state authorities, protecting state interests, assisting during emergencies, and contributing to federal efforts when called upon by the President of the Union of Columbia.

The Guard maintains a dual role. It serves the State of Mayflower in times of local need, while remaining available for wider national service when required. Through training, discipline, and readiness, the Mayflower National Guard provides military, security, support, and emergency response capabilities for the state.

Mission

The mission of the Mayflower National Guard is to maintain a disciplined, trained, and ready force capable of supporting state operations, defending Mayflower’s interests, and assisting civil authorities when directed.

The Guard may be called upon to support:

  • State security and emergency operations
  • Military police and law enforcement support functions
  • Infantry, engineering, aviation, and special operations missions
  • Training, readiness, and administrative support
  • Garrison operations and installation support
  • Ceremonial duties and public representation
  • Federal deployments and national defense efforts

The Guard exists to serve Mayflower, support its people, and remain prepared for duties at both the state and federal level.

Historical Background

The Mayflower National Guard traces its origins to December of 1771, during the uprising against Pax Britannia. Militia forces from Pax Britannia Mayflower played a role in the fall of Lander City in January of 1776, establishing an early military tradition within the state.

Following the uprising, the Guard was unofficially organized into a series of regiments garrisoned in Lander City. These regiments later served with the Union during the Columbian Civil War.

The Mayflower National Guard was formally organized in July of 1903 with the introduction of the Home Guard Act. This formal organization created a structured state military force under the Bureau of Army and established the foundation for the modern Guard.

Present-Day Role

Today, the Mayflower National Guard operates as a structured and professional military organization. It is composed of headquarters elements, combat formations, military police units, special forces, aviation support elements, training institutions, and garrison-based support commands.

The Guard supports the State of Mayflower through readiness, public service, operational capability, and disciplined military organization. Its members may serve in a wide range of roles, including combat arms, military police, engineering, aviation, legal support, logistics, medical support, training, administration, and ceremonial duties.

Command and Organization

The Mayflower National Guard is organized under Command Group, which serves as the senior command authority for the organization. Major commands and subordinate formations are responsible for specific operational, administrative, support, and training functions.

Service and Readiness

Service within the Guard may involve:

  • Training and instruction

  • Field operations
  • Emergency response support
  • Staff and administrative work
  • Legal and policy support
  • Logistics and supply functions

The strength of the Guard comes from its ability to combine these roles into a single organized force serving the State of Mayflower.
